Role - Full Time Architectural Technologist

We are looking for an Architectural Technologist/Technician to join our small but busy and friendly practice in the heart of Higham Ferrers, Northants. We have a reputation since 1991 for delivering thoughtful solutions for clients across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire
We primarily work on residential schemes from extensions and new build dwellings through to small scale housing developments and commercial projects.
This position is perfect for somebody who works well in a team and likes the challenges that being part of a busy office brings. We would expect the applicant to also be comfortable liaising with clients and contractors on a daily basis.
The applicant must be able to produce scheme, planning and building regulation drawings suitable to obtain statutory planning and building regulations approvals.
We ideally would like applicants to have a minimum of 5 years in-practice experience.
Requirements:
The role requires you to be:

Proficient in AutoCAD/ AutoCAD LT (essential).

Highly motivated and have an attention to detail.

Familiar with the current Building Regulations and other relevant legislation

Familiar with and have a good understanding of general construction principles and detailing.

Familiar with the planning process

A team player, with the ability to work individually.

Ability to run projects from survey to completion
Experience in Autodesk Revit and Sketchup would be preferable/desirable but not mandatory
Experience with specification writing using NBS Source or Chorus would also be desirable but not mandatory
Qualifications:

Ideally a BSc in Architectural Technology or similar qualification, alternatively experience in an architectural practice would be considered.
Salary:
Competitive/dependant on experience.
Other Information:
Annual Leave: 28 days per annum including bank holidays.
(Holiday allowance rises 1 day per year after 3 years up to a maximum of 25 days)
